Sanctuary Painting

A complete re-painting of the sanctuary was commissioned in December 2013.  The work was done by Sean Tenhoff Painting in 2 phases, completed in January 2014.

We broke the project into 2 phases to work around Sunday services.

  • Phase 1, was done during the week between Sunday services and completed the Chancel area, including woodwork surrounding the stained glass.
  • Phase 2, completing the remainder of the Sanctuary including walls, balcony area, and rear area under the balcony spanned 2 weeks, requiring removal of all pews to allow scaffolding access and an off-site Sunday service in the middle of the project, held at Minnehaha Academy North Campus.

Thank you to Becky Anderson and Sylvia Bacon who worked closely with our painting contractor in paint selection and design and the Tuesday crew for the heavy lifting, removing and replacing the pews.
